❓ Antalya Olympos, Çıralı & Yanartaş Tour: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How long does the climb to Yanartaş take, is it very tiring?

From the national park entrance to the summit where the fires burn there is a stony path of about 800 metres and ancient steps. At an average pace the climb takes about 20 to 30 minutes. It can be done comfortably in sports shoes, but it is not suitable for guests with a physical disability or serious difficulty walking.

Is the tour suitable for small children?

It is fun for children to see the ancient city and the beach. However, the Yanartaş climb is not suitable for young children (for example aged 0–4) or for strollers. Carrying your child in your arms can be tiring. Children aged 5–6 and over who can walk can join this adventure with their families.

Where is the Museum Pass (Müzekart) valid?

The Müzekart is valid at the entrance of Olympos Ancient City, which is affiliated with the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. However, because the Yanartaş (Chimaera) entrance is a separate forestry/national park operation, the Müzekart is not valid and a small ticket-office fee must be paid in cash.

How many hours does it take to get from Antalya to Olympos?

The distance between Antalya centre and the Olympos/Çıralı area is about 80 km. The journey along the coastal road in our air-conditioned safari jeeps or transfer vehicles takes an average of 1.5 hours.
