❓ Antalya Demre Myra Kekova Tour: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How long does the journey from Antalya to Demre take?

The distance between Antalya centre and Demre is about 140–150 km. This scenic journey along the coastline takes an average of 2.5 – 3 hours in our air-conditioned coaches, including the breakfast provided and rest stops.

Can we swim over the Sunken City?

No. Because Kekova Sunken City is a 1st Degree Archaeological Site, swimming or diving directly over the remains is strictly forbidden. Our boat passes slowly right next to the remains. Swim breaks are given in the bays near the sunken city (Tersane Bay etc.).

Are the archaeological site tickets included in the tour price?

No, the entrance tickets for Myra Ancient City and St. Nicholas Church are charged extra. Turkish citizens can enter these two sites free of charge with the Müzekart. Our guests without a Müzekart can obtain tickets from the ticket office or from our guide.

Is it a very tiring tour for families with children?

Although the journey time is somewhat long, the 2-hour Kekova boat trip and the swim breaks included in the programme keep children from getting bored. The ancient city walks are short and on flat ground, so the tour is extremely suitable for families.
